Swarnim Gujarat Sports University (SGSU), Gandhinagar is a State Govt. University founded to offer world-class educators in the field of Physical Education and Sports. SGSU, Gandhinagar has also been founded to produce world-class sportsmen, coaches and technical officials. The University has been founded by Govt. of Gujarat by an Act No. 22 of 2011 and recognized U/S 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956) and notified by Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Govt. of Gujarat.
