About Raksha Shakti University (RSU)

Raksha Shakti University is a police science university. It is set up by the Govt. of Gujarat. The Govt. of Gujarat has founded the University vide "The Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009 & rsquo;, Gujarat bill No-16 of 2009. RSU conducts certificate, diploma and degree courses in the fields of public science and internal security. The University is founded by the state Govt. for preparing youths of the State for meeting the requirement of the security forces. It conducts degree, diploma and ‘in service’ courses and teachings pertaining to internal security, terrorism, organized crimes, cyber crimes, economic offences and crimes related to juveniles. The new campus of Raksha Shakti University is under construction near Gandhinagar. It is spread over 232 acres of landscaped area near Lawad on the Gandhinagar-Himmatnagar highway has been selected for the education buildings. Currently, the university is functioning at an old SPIPA building near Meghaninagar (Ahmedabad).
