Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) was established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act, Act of the Gujarat Legislature of the Gujarat Legislature enacted on 4th April, 2007. It has been named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya who was an eminent political personality and a profound philosopher. Dr. Mukesh Ambani is the President of PDPU. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is a world-class educational institution in Oil & Gas and allied Energy Sectors and is modeled on the IITs & IIMs. It is spread over approximately 50 acres and offers the necessary infrastructure of a world-class University. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has been promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) to create a world-class University in energy education and research with special focus on the oil and gas sector. It provides a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate and post-graduate energy education programmes and intensive research initiatives. The first batch of B.Tech (Petroleum Technology) was admitted at School of  Petroleum Technology on 16th August, 2007. Moreover, the Programme is well recognized by the Industry, in terms of relevance, quality, and earnestness to cater to the futuristic need. The B.Tech Programme of School of Petroleum Technology at the University is approved by AICTE vide F. No.: 06/01/Guj/ENGG/2007/04 dated October 6, 2008.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) B.Tech Admission 2019

At UG level, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) provides courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (Lateral) to the aspiring Students who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The courses offered are for four years and three years respectively. The number of seats depending upon the nature of specializations as opted by the Students.

The admission in B.tech is done on the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Students who meet the eligibility criteria are only liable to apply for B.Tech course at the University. Eligible Students who are willing to appear in JEE Mains may visit the official website.

In order to take admission in B.Tech (Lateral), eligible Students need to appear in a written test organized by the university. However, Students failing to meet the eligibility criteria will not be entertained by the university.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) Undergraduate Admission 2019

At UG level, the university offers general courses like Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hons), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons). All the four courses are offered for a duration period of three years.

Admission in the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of marks scored in 12th (10+2) level or equivalent in concerned subjects. Students must meet the eligibility criteria in order to seek admission in this college.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) M.Tech Admission 2019

At PG level, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) offers Engineering courses such as Master of Technology (M.Tech) in eight different specializations. The courses offered are for a duration period of two years. Intake capacity is 18 for each specialization offered.

Students seeking admission in M.Tech need to appear in General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). For GATE, eligible Students may visit the official website.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) MBA and MA Admission 2019

The university also focuses in the area of Arts and Business Administration so as to reach out to many students. Courses like Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Arts (MA) are offered at PG level. Intake capacity for both the courses is 60 seats and 20 seats respectively. Duration period for both the courses is same, i.e., two years.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) Ph.D. Admission 2019

At Research level, the university offers the Ph.D. course in 17 specializations. The number of seats depends upon the nature of specializations.

The applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are shortlisted shall be put through Research Aptitude Test (RAT) - a written test organized by the University. Students who clear the written test round will have to appear in the personal interview which is again organized by the university.

A Student shall apply online, for the registration of his candidature, on the PDPU website www.pdpu.ac.in within the time limit specified by the BAC-PDPU (Please visit the PDPU website for the online application procedure).

For the purpose of registration, a Student shall be required to make online payment of Rs.500/- for Students who have passed qualifying exams from schools located outside Gujarat and Rs.350/- for Students who have passed qualifying exams from schools located from Gujarat through internet banking/debit card/credit card towards the Registration Fee.

A Student shall be required to upload the colored scan copy of requisite certificates and testimonials as specified in the registration form.
